A fantastic quiet retreat with far-reaching views for those wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Within an easy drive to the nearby county town of Taunton and there are beaches at Weston-Super-Mare Burnham and Brean. There are many National Trust properties and RSPB reserves in the area. Other attractions include Longleat The Fleet Air Arm Museum and Cheddar Gorge to name a few. The cities of Wells and Bath and the towns of Glastonbury and Street all provide interesting days out with the Quantock Hills and Exmoor providing opportunities to view wildlife and enjoy beautiful scenery. The spacious accommodation comprises of TWO bedrooms: 1 large double and 1 twin both having exposed beams and country views. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Separate downstairs WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with TV/DVD and hi-fi. Kitchen area is well-equipped with electric oven hob microwave fridge with ice compartment and small breakfast bar with stools. Dining area has french doors that open up onto a large patio with lawn area in front. Utility: with washing machine and boiler. Outside: open-plan lawn and gravel areas. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen towels electric central heating and wi-fi included. Regret no smoking. 1 pet welcome. Location: beach 18 miles pub shop and village bakery 0.5 miles. Arrival: 3pm.

And the best way to experience the county’s many attractions is from your base in one of our holiday cottages in Somerset. Bath has some of Britain’s most majestic Georgian architecture, as well as the famous Roman Baths (not mention great shopping). Then there’s Wells, England’s smallest city. Wandering around the cathedral close, with its unspoilt medieval lanes is like taking a step back in time. And for a real sense of mystery, there’s Glastonbury (home of the world-famous music festival), supposedly the site of King Arthur’s mythical Avalon. All await you on one of our Somerset cottage holidays. The county has more than its fair share of beach resorts too. The Grand Pier at Weston-Super-Mare is superb, as is the wide beach here, while Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea offer a choice of traditional seaside pleasures. Meanwhile, for nature lovers there’s the wild landscape of Exmoor, and the Mendip and Quantock Hills, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheddar Gorge is truly stunning. Great for real Cheddar cheese too!
